We teamed up with W2W, Hamburg, again to deliver our second sustainability report of the year.
The client: KION Group, the automation systems provider (industrial trucks, warehouse logistics systems, etc.).
The report is scheduled for release soon (2017/2018). *UPDATE: click here to see the report*
To translate the 254-page report using KION’s preferred content management system (CMS). The extensive report is intended to be read by a global audience of stakeholders. It communicates KION’s achieviement of sustainability goals in alignment with the UN Global Compact.
This is our twelvth sustainability report. This time, research into KION’s specialised solutions was essential yet again, and alongside incorporating the client’s glossary we compiled a dedicated one based purely on KION’s terminology preferences mined from dozens of company reports, releases, and webpages.
The report was delivered stage by stage to W2W for proofreading. KION performed the final check, and we then integrated the review changes. At the end of this process, we reviewed the entire 254-page document in its native PDF format, cross-checking it against the master German copy to ensure graphical elements, formatting, and the general look and feel matched the source text.
We worked in the client’s preferred CMS, so the report can be generated as a PDF and split up across multiple website pages – all while ensuring embedded links to key information remain intact. Working in the XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) is part of what we do day-in, day-out.
The full translation was delivered on time, with strong client engagement throughout the process.
