We are a Bristol-based translation agency, founded in 2005 by Mark Elliott, a qualified professional translator. Originally created to serve the media and broadcast industry – which inspired the name Media Translation – the agency has since grown to support a wide range of sectors.

Today, Media Translation manages projects in 80+ languages, supported by a network of specialist linguists, each with subject-matter expertise and up-to-date industry knowledge. We embrace technology to work more effectively and securely. Over the years, we have adopted cloud-based project management systems, integrating QA processes and translation memory platforms to guarantee accuracy and consistency across projects. Our translators are certified in machine translation post-editing (MTPE) and know how to use the latest AI-assisted tools, enabling us to refine, adapt and enhance AI-generated content without compromising linguistic quality or cultural nuance.
