Technical translations for multi-audience transport and engineering copy
The challenge
SBB/CFF/FFS is Switzerland’s national rail operator, responsible for large-scale transport infrastructure and public services.
It required multilingual support across customer communications, internal announcements and event materials. The work spanned public-facing updates, technical announcements and campaign assets, each with distinct tone requirements and audiences.
Our approach
We mapped terminology and phrasing from existing resources to ensure consistency across all outputs, tailoring each piece of content for its intended audience while maintaining alignment across communication channels. In-depth research of heavy engineering concepts specific to the railway industry meant we could write with subject-matter expertise, but in a way that was balanced with the need to communicate with non-technical customers when necessary.
