Consistent, high-quality technical website localisation across key European markets
The challenge
Inriver is a leading provider of PIM (product information management) systems.
We’ve supported Inriver in various ways since 2023, including with translations into French and German. Following a rebrand, Inriver needed to localise core sections of its website into German and French – ensuring consistent terminology, clear messaging and a seamless customer experience across both markets.
The content combined marketing messaging with product-focused detail, requiring both linguistic precision and brand alignment. The key objective was to get it right first time, avoiding rework and ensuring consistency across all pages.
Our approach
We started by reviewing the existing website copy and then building out a brief for the content-management team to ensure our approach aligned with their new vision. After onboarding four technical linguists to the project (two translators and two revisors), we localised key website sections into German and French, supported by dedicated translation memories to ensure long-term consistency across all content.
A detailed project brief was agreed upfront, aligning tone, terminology and messaging before translation began.
All content underwent structured QA checks, ensuring accuracy, coherence and a polished end result across both languages.
The result
- Consistent terminology and messaging across German and French markets
- Clear, high-quality localisation aligned with brand and product positioning
- Reduced need for revisions through a strong upfront briefing process
- A polished multilingual user experience across key website sections
The result was a coherent and scalable localisation foundation – supporting Inriver’s international growth with consistent, high-quality technical, yet accessible content across markets.
