The challenge

KabelDirekt operates in the consumer electronics sector, selling products via Amazon. They were on an expansion course, and wanted to expand into English- (US and UK English) and Arabic-speaking countries, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands and Turkey.
The project required translating and adapting product listings and supporting content for multiple markets, ensuring that messaging remained clear, accurate and competitive within the highly structured marketplace environment.
This created a dual challenge: maintaining technical precision in specifications while delivering concise, customer-friendly copy that supports conversion – a real issue when text expansion was involved.

Our approach

We focused on clarity, consistency and commercial relevance, ensuring that product content performed effectively across languages on different Amazon marketplaces by combining our transcreation and localisation services.
Technical terminology was handled carefully to preserve accuracy, while phrasing was refined to improve readability and usability for customers.
We ensured consistency across product listings by aligning descriptions, features and supporting content – creating a coherent presence across markets with descriptions that were localised to suit the target country.

Amazon marketplace constraints

Where required, content was adapted to meet marketplace constraints such as character limits through a rigorous briefing process.
This was a key constraint of working with the Amazon platform as we had to adhere to strict limits across all languages. Together with the Content Manager, we developed a process to adapt translations to suit this framework.

SEO and audience benefit

The quality of KabelDirekt products speaks for itself. But it was down to us to ensure products could be found on Amazon and the web – and that potential buyers were converted. To achieve this, through transcreation we ensured the copy was benefit-led and engaging. We also carried out detailed SEO research to pinpoint the terms consumers and prosumers were searching for.
