Multilingual content delivery for exhibitions, education and visitor experiences
The challenge
We were delighted to support the Sarner production team on the Norwegian Nature Centre – Hardanger: a visitor attraction combining environmental education, exhibitions and interactive experiences to present Norway’s natural landscape and ecosystems.
The project required multilingual translation across a full spectrum of content. The initial phase started with the architectural drawings and site plans. Then we moved on to full production, including exhibition panels, educational materials and visitor-facing signage to guide visitors through the geological environmental and wildlife narratives.
This created a complex communication challenge: content needed to balance scientific accuracy with accessibility, while remaining engaging for diverse audiences with varying levels of subject knowledge. The content also needed to work within physical layout and spatial constraints.
Our approach
We approached the project with a strong focus on clarity, consistency and audience engagement, ensuring that all content remained accessible without losing scientific precision.
Environmental and educational terminology was handled carefully to maintain accuracy, while phrasing was adapted to ensure readability for a broad, international audience.
We kept in mind the structure of the content to align with the physical visitor experience, ensuring that information could be easily understood in context – whether presented on signage, within exhibits or as part of guided educational narratives.
By prioritising consistency across formats, messaging remained coherent throughout the entire visitor journey.
Because of tight timings and the need to ensure we had the right subject-matter expertise, we put together a scalable team and delivered in batches to minimise risk for Sarner. And with seamless CMS integration, we helped avoid content-production bottlenecks.
