Engineering and R&D translation for heavy industry applications
The challenge
Rothe Erde, part of thyssenkrupp, develops large-scale bearing systems used in demanding industrial applications such as energy, infrastructure and heavy machinery.
The project involved translating advanced technical documentation, including R&D materials, prototype testing processes and performance specifications, all of which required precision and clarity across specialised engineering domains. The major projects we worked on covered slewing bearings, rolling bearings, magnetic bearings and large‑scale mechanical engineering solutions used in mining, energy and heavy industry.

Our approach
We worked with specialist engineering linguists to accurately reflect complex mechanical concepts and performance metrics across all materials.
Technical consistency was ensured across R&D, product and testing documentation, allowing terminology to remain stable and recognisable across formats.
We also focused on structuring information clearly, helping technically complex innovation narratives become accessible without oversimplification.
The result
- Clear communication of advanced engineering concepts and systems
- Consistent terminology across product, R&D and testing documentation
- Improved accessibility for technical stakeholders across markets
- Reliable delivery of highly specialised content
The result was clear and consistent technical communication – enabling thyssenkrupp to present complex engineering innovation in a way that supports global collaboration and understanding.
