Bristol: A city built for innovation
From our base in Clifton Village, we work within one of the UK’s most vibrant innovation ecosystems. Bristol’s universities, robotics labs, creative industries and sustainability‑focused start‑ups create the perfect environment for organisations developing new agricultural, biotech and climate‑tech solutions. We’ve already looked at how Bristol is leading on AI, creativity and business, so in this post we’ll take a look at how we’ve enjoyed helping businesses based in Bristol and the South West.
Business West – Regional Growth Catalyst
Many of the projects we’ve worked on sit within the Business West innovation and export support framework. Through our work with Business West and the Global Business Innovation Programme, we’ve helped South West organisations communicate their ideas clearly and confidently in international markets; we’ve also helped Bristol-based businesses expand internationally with SEO- and audience-optimised content. Read on for an overview of how we’ve supported key regional innovators promote their businesses with our translation services.
Regional Agri‑Tech & Biotech Projects
LettUs Grow – Bristol aeroponics
We created bilingual profiles and collaboration packs for LettUs Grow, showcasing their aeroponic systems and Ostara™ platform, which offer 70% higher yields and 95% water savings. These materials supported their Innovate UK work and international outreach.
Multibox – Insect protein with BRL collaboration
We produced multilingual, investor‑ready technological translations for Multibox, focusing on their Black Soldier Fly technology, which converts food waste into high‑value insect protein and oil. Our work covered their company profile, technical descriptions and international partnership opportunities, supporting their outreach to research and commercial partners.
Rothamsted Research — North Wyke, Devon
Rothamsted’s North Wyke site is a global leader in sustainable agriculture and grassland research. We produced Chinese translations of their institutional profiles and technical presentations covering soil health, nutrient efficiency and climate‑focused research.
The Vaccine Group — Plymouth Biotech
For The Vaccine Group, we developed bilingual profiles communicating their herpesvirus‑based vaccine platform and collaborations with leading Chinese research institutes. Their work addresses major livestock diseases and zoonotic risks.
Ridgeway Research — Gloucestershire Diagnostics
Ridgeway Research’s fertility diagnostics and veterinary testing services are used worldwide. We created bilingual export profiles highlighting their P4 Rapid progesterone test and ELISA kits, strengthening their presence across Asia‑Pacific markets.
Yeo Valley — Somerset’s organic food leader
We’ve also supported Yeo Valley with sustainability‑focused communications, helping articulate their long‑standing commitment to organic farming, local sourcing and environmentally conscious production.
Tailfin
Tailfin designs and manufactures high-performance cycling luggage systems for bikepacking, touring, commuting and adventure riding. To launch its German website tailfin.de, we delivered SEO-driven, culturally attuned content for the German-speaking cycling market. We combined keyword research, localisation strategy and tech-enabled workflows to ensure discoverability, brand consistency and smooth CMS integration with Shopify and WordPress.
The result: compelling copy, increased visibility and a successful entry into a competitive market.
Bristol to the World
Bristol thrives on outward‑looking creativity. By helping South West organisations translate technical expertise, sustainability credentials and research innovations into clear, internationally accessible content, we ensure the region’s ideas travel – and resonate.
Whether supporting a Bristol aeroponics pioneer, a Devon research institution or a Somerset food producer, our goal remains the same: to help regional businesses communicate with clarity, credibility and global impact.
